Won't get too many better chances to break through. PRETRIAL STATEMENT (5) made progress last time out, finishing 5. 5 lengths from the winner in third at the end of 1m1/2f at this track after being prominent at the turn. It doesn't get any easier but on his best form he is capable of a big performance. SPEIGHTFUL STORM (1) finished out of the money two starts back then was beaten 9 lengths when fourth in a 6½f contest at this track four weeks ago. Likely improver with strong prospects. ALZERO (2) is back at the races for the first time since August 23. Worth noting he filled a minor placing when returning from a lay-off last time in work over 6f at this track. Now under the care of new trainer Kevin Bond. Among the better hopes.
