TOP PLAYER (2) was out of the money two runs back then again missed the frame last start over 6½f at this track, beaten 10 lengths into fourth. Has the ability to figure prominently. MERCILESANIHILATOR (4) is a three-year-old gelding who is having his first run for the Linda Rice stable. Finished off last campaign with a fourth at Keeneland (Dirt) four-and-a-half months ago. Hasn't trialled publicly but looks well placed. Leading player expected to feature. TAKE A STANCE (1) scored his maiden win here last time out over this trip, getting the decision by half a length. Sparingly raced and has more to offer. Shaping up nicely and he is a solid top-three hope. NEVER SAY UNCLE (6) proved too strong two runs ago but was less impressive last time out when seventh over 6f at this track, beaten 34 lengths. Should be thereabouts.
