Only other try fresh was a winning debut and can make it two from two. FIRST ENCOUNTER (13) is back from a lay-off of three-and-a-half months. Closed last campaign with a minor placing over 1m at Pinjarra. Rates highly and makes plenty of appeal. SIMPLY (10) finished sixth over 1m3f in the LR South West Cup at Bunbury at his most recent appearance on July 6. One to consider. CAPTAIN PLUTO (1) is having his first run since March 23. Has a strong record when fresh with three wins from five runs, the most recent over 7f at Pinjarra at the start of last prep. Ran sixth in a trial at Lark Hill over 4¾f recently. Makes plenty of appeal.
