JOKERS GRIN (1) is a smart galloper who won at his last run before a lay-off over 6f in The Quokka at this track in an easier race than this. Trialling well leading into this. Has a very strong record when resuming record with two wins on the board. Patrick Carbery who has seven wins when partnering stays on. Best form puts him right in this. REPOSSESSION (5) is a progressive four-year-old gelding who resumes from a break of four months, his last appearance being a win over 5f in the LR Beaufine Sprint at Pinjarra. Fitter for a recent trial win. Has two wins to his name when fresh from a lay-off. Brad Parnham who has four wins when partnering stays on. Sure to play a big role. OSCAR'S FORTUNE (2) is a five-year-old gelding who is having his first run for the Dion Luciani barn. Finished off last campaign with a ninth at Caulfield four-and-a-half months ago. Hasn't trialled publicly but has filled a minor placing two times from four runs when resuming. Expected to be in the finish. SNOWDOME (3) produced a reasonable run when returning from a break last start over 6f at Kalgoorlie, finishing 5 lengths from the winner in eighth. Record here is sound including seven wins from 21 starts. Tougher company here but is not to be discounted.
