UNIVERSAL HOTNESS (15) missed the placings when resuming two runs back then did a good job last start but found a couple better over 6f at Bunbury, beaten only 0. 9 lengths after being in the firing line on the turn. Finds a tougher race but he has the ability to test this field. SURF PATROL (14) last appeared on July 26 when a good seventh over 6½f at Belmont Park, beaten 2. 2. 5 lengths. Looks one of the genuine hopes in the race. LET'S TALK (9) was out of the money when resuming from a lay-off last start over 6f at this track, beaten 2. 5 lengths.
