MAGNIQUE (3) was prominent at the corner and progressed nicely last start to finish a close second over 6f at this track after missing the placings at the previous appearance. Looks well placed so expect another big run. AMAROO STAR (4) didn't make an impact at his last run before going for a lay-off on July 26, finishing fifth and beaten 5 lengths over 6f at Belmont Park. Yet to miss the placings here in an excellent record which boasts three wins and one placing. Can make his presence felt. KING CARTEL (1) found plenty to salute by 0. 9 lengths three runs back at Albany before filling a minor placing at his last two starts. Has good early speed so should take up a forward position. Don't underestimate.
