WESTERN LADY (5) finished second two runs back at this track then improved last time out to score by 3. 5 lengths as favourite over 1m3f at this track. Lucy Fiore scored on her last time and retains the mount. It doesn't get any easier but on current form she is one of the chief contenders. FAT ROY SLIM (1) got well back over 1m3 1/2f in the LR Pinjarra Cup last time and never threatened, eventually finishing 5 lengths away in eighth. William Pike gets the best out of this seven-year-old gelding. This doesn't look as hard so he is one of the main contenders. AUDIO BOY (3) is racing well but struggling to break through, the latest effort another minor placing when third over 1m3f at this track. Genuine performer so he is high among the chances. DEADLY AND FAST (2) had been in top form landing two consecutive wins but last start missed the frame when fourth over 1m2 1/2f at Albany. Harder here but is not to be discounted.
