CABALLUS (2) used the rails draw to good effect last start, bouncing straight to the lead and scoring an all-the-way win over 6f in the G1 Newmarket Handicap at Flemington. Strong record with Tommy Berry aboard, including two wins. Among the leading chances. JIGSAW (1) pushed forward from a wide draw last start and kept going to win by half a length over 6f in the G1 William Reid Stakes at Caulfield. Far easier assignment this time around. Among the leading chances this field. REY MAGNERIO (3) missed the placings when resuming recently but was not too far from the winner when sixth over 6f in the G1 William Reid Stakes at Caulfield. Winning rider William Pike sticks. Has claims on his best figures. LUANA MISS (13) turned in an encouraging run when resuming, settling well back then winding up nicely to finish fourth over 5½f in the G3 Roma Cup at this track. Will be putting in the big strides late.
