NEWS TRAVELS FAST (2) resumes from a lay-off of four-and-a-half months. Could only manage to finish sixth at the latest run over 1m1/4f at Moe. Has trialled well leading into this. No surprise if he was able to get off the mark. SINCERE SMILE (9) is a maiden galloper who hasn't raced since finishing 6 lengths back in fifth over 6f at Mornington six months ago. Fitter for three lead-up trials, including a win. Should be involved in the finish. BRAZENGA (8) hit the frame two starts ago at Hamilton but ran below par last time when sixth and beaten 5. 5 lengths over 5½f at Murtoa. Open to improvement and should be about the mark.
