Commendable record at this trip with a win and 13 minor placings and shapes as a key contender. GAZZ (1) broke his maiden last start over 5½f at Morphettville when resuming, scoring by half a length. Is lightly raced and has plenty of scope for improvement. Caitlin Tootell was in the saddle on that occasion and retains the mount. Capable of making it two on the trot. MRS SECOMBE (3) is resuming from a lay-off of five months and having her first run for the Chris Bieg yard. Was in the placings when when resuming from a lay-off last campaign at Geelong over 6½f. Fitter for a minor placing in a recent Morphettville trial. Comes here with definite top-three claims. ELEGANT LILLY (8) accounted for a maiden field over 5¼f at this track last start, finishing one length ahead of the nearest rival. Lauren Stojakovic was in the saddle on that occasion and retains the mount. Harder task ahead this time but can measure up.
