HOBA WEST (2) has changed stables since finishing third over 6f at Bunbury seven months ago. Generally runs well when fresh, recording three minor placings from five runs. One of the primary contenders. PAT'S LAST BANG (10) showed good pace and went on to score by 3 lengths last time out over 6½f at Pinjarra. Should be on-pace despite the tricky draw. In a suitable race and can figure in the finish. BATTLE COMMANDER (1) doesn't boast the best winning strike rate but ran a strong race last time out, finishing third and beaten only a nose over 6f at this track. Best figures measure up. Set to run well again.
