NOBLE CONNECTION (2) stepped up in trip to 1m3f last time at this track and ran below his best, finishing 14 lengths away in 12th. Looks better placed over this shorter trip so worth another chance. STATE OF FURY (11) kept coming but just failed to pick up the winner last start over 1m at Pinjarra. Must raise the bar but another big run will not surprise. ET TU BRUTE (8) was prominent at the corner and finished third last start over 7½f at Bunbury All Weather, beaten 4 lengths. This looks a sterner test than last time but on his best form he is one of the chief contenders. BECALOTTI (3) strode forward early from her wide draw last start over 1m at this track only to fade late and finish sixth. Can figure in the finish.
