SKY RIVER (7) has been in the placings at her last two starts, finishing second last time when she was handy all the way over 7½f at York. Taking on a better line-up this time but she can win if at her best. TRULY GALLANT (2) started at 11/10 last time and ran below expectations, finishing fifth and beaten 4. 5 lengths at Geraldton over 7f. Must raise the bar but a win is not out of the question. HARD SOLO (4) improved sharply on her fifth two starts back at Esperance with a win as favourite over 6f at Geraldton a week-and-a-half ago, getting home by 1. 1 lengths. Meeting a tougher field but on her best form she is right in contention. SAXON JEWEL (6) showed good speed and fought on for second over 6½f at York last time. Meets a much tougher line-up this time but cannot be underestimated.
