UNTETHERED (1) produced a good effort last start when second over 1m4f at this track to make it three minor placings from five runs this campaign. Although yet to score at this distance has been in the frame at all four runs and is sure to go well. FOIRE DE TRONE (6) registered a strong win at Geelong two runs ago. Decent effort last time out when in the firing line on the corner before finishing third over 1m2 1/2f at Sandown-Lakeside, beaten a neck. Has the class to find the winners' list. THURMOND (3) scored last start at Swan Hill to make it two wins from three starts this campaign. Takes on a tougher assignment this time but can measure up. GOLDEN HIPS (4) struggling to break through and over a year since a win, last start finishing second over 1m2f at Seymour. Looks suited and can break through for a long overdue win.
