Shannen Llewellyn scored on him last time and retains the ride. Meeting a deeper field this time but he is good enough to play a major role. MICHELANGELO (8) was too good for a maiden field when resuming last start over 6¾f at Wyong, scoring by a nose. Looms as one of the hardest to beat again. BOTANIST (2) recorded a gutsy maiden victory last time out over 7f at Warwick Farm, scoring by 0. 7 lengths. Is lightly raced and has plenty of scope for improvement. Breaks from a wide alley but he cannot be discounted. VALIANT BOMB (6) improved last time out, finishing 2. 25 lengths from the winner in third over 7f at Goulburn. Looks to be in the right race so he should be in contention again.
