NAVY PILOT (8) built on a nice second when fresh from a lay-off two starts back in the LR Poseidon Stakes at Flemington with success over 7f at Sandown-Hillside two weeks ago, getting home by a nose. It doesn't get any easier but on current form he is one of the key runners. AUTUMN BOY (9) produced a good run two starts back to finish second but failed to live up to market expectations last time when out of the placings in the G1 Golden Rose Stakes at Rosehill over the same trip after he had travelled in a rearwards position. Goes up a rung or two but he is capable of running a bold race. WODETON (2) has registered two minor placings from three runs this campaign. Continued the trend at the most recent appearance when runner-up over 7f in the G1 Golden Rose Stakes at Rosehill after he was always up in the leading division. Must raise the bar but a win is not out of the question. Better than recent efforts suggest.
