TARTAGLIA (5) is a four-year-old gelding who is having his first run for the Paul Snowden yard. Hasn't raced since finishing ninth at Bendigo five months ago. Hasn't trialled publicly but is in a nice race. Can kick off with a win. MONTE MAXIMUS (6) bounced back last start and landed the prize by 1.75 lengths as public elect over 7f at Grafton. Looks well placed so expect another big run. RUN RORY RUN (2) turned in a nice effort to score two runs ago at Taree. Not as effective last time out when eighth over 6f at Randwick, beaten 6 lengths after being in the firing line on the turn. Finds a suitable race and can get the job done. GOBBLED (3) ran a better race last start to finish a close third over 7f at Taree after missing the placings at the previous appearance. Likely to hold the form and is a strong top-three prospect.
