    BALLON D'OR (2) produced a reasonable effort when fourth last start after being in the firing line on the bend over 1m at Wangaratta, beaten 2. 75 lengths. That followed a win at Donald the start prior. Likely improver with strong prospects. LIBERTY RAE (8) was comfortably accounted for when sixth last time out over 1m1/4f at Nhill, beaten 3 lengths after being prominent at the turn. That followed a win at Bordertown at the previous outing. Melissa Julius is a key engagement. Beautifully placed and is sure to take plenty of stopping. LYGON STREET LUIGI (3) wound up strongly only to just miss as favourite last start over 7f124yards at Yarra Valley. Must raise the bar but another big run will not surprise. MR FISHER (7) pushed forward and was a determined winner by 8 lengths over 7¾f at Mt Gambier last time out. Do not underestimate.
