SUNRAYS (1) is a talented galloper with a very good strike rate who finished off last campaign with a win over 7½f in the LR The Phoenix (Doomben Slipper) at Eagle Farm on June 7. Goes very well when fresh from a lay-off with one wins from two starts so she should launch this prep in a positive manner. IMPERVIOUS (5) scored narrowly over 6f at Eagle Farm last time out with this jockey Angela Jones in the irons. Will appreciate the big weight drop so another big run is on the cards. SEVEER (3) accounted for a maiden field over 6f at this track last start, finishing 1.5 lengths ahead of the nearest rival. Sparingly raced and has more to offer. Re-unites with Cody Collis who was on board last start. Tougher task this time but expected to be competitive again. STATEMENT OF TRUTH (6) was unwanted in betting last start but performed beyond expectations when beaten 1.5 lengths into fourth over 6f at Eagle Farm. Has the pace to be in a prominent position from the outset. One of the better hopes.
