TALTARNI FIELDS (1) pushed forward from a wide draw last start and found a position close to the lead before sticking on well to finish third over 6f at Gold Coast. Corey Sutherland gets the best out of this five-year-old gelding. Ideally placed and is sure to be there at the finish. PETITE PALACE (18) showed good early pace over 5½f at Warwick last time and kept going to score by 3 lengths. Should enjoy a good run just off the speed. Meeting a tougher field but on her best form she is capable of testing her rivals. And looks close to a win after finishing a close second last time out over 6f at Sunshine Coast. Should be nearing his peak at this stage of the campaign. LAYDOWNLILY (11) returned from a lay-off two weeks ago when she was beaten 2. 25 lengths into fourth over 5f at Sunshine Coast. Strips fitter and can play a big role.
