ZAIBATSU (7) did his best work late and finished 1. 5 lengths from the winner in fourth last start over 4½f at Wellington, an improvement on his eighth at Warren the run before. Beautifully placed and is sure to play a major role. ULTRA WHITE (12) has been in the market at her last couple of runs but failed to threaten, the latest effort a modest fifth at Lightning Ridge over 6f. Top-three chance on best figures. RUSSIAN EMBER (1) improved last time out, finishing 0. 7 lengths from the winner in third at the end of 5f at Warren. Finds a nice race and can secure another top-three finish.
