Looks well placed so expect a better run this time. CARRIACOU (5) has not won for a long while. Last raced on December 13 when beaten 9 lengths into 11th at Kenilworth over 1m. Worth noting Sean Veale goes aboard. Placed to advantage and can feature in the finish. SOMMERSTERN (3) broke his maiden last start over 7½f at Kenilworth, scoring by 1. 3 lengths. Is lightly raced and has plenty of scope for improvement. Harder task ahead this time but can measure up.
