JOHN DORY (2) was a narrow winner by 0. 7 lengths at Canterbury in a then second at Doomben last time. Nice weight drop for this. Has been in the money at all three starts this campaign, including a win. Sure to go very well. TAMBELOA (1) wasn't far away last time and is edging towards a win, the latest effort a solid third over 7½f at Rosehill. Bright prospects over this longer journey. BIRD WHISTLE (11) returns from a 35 day break after finishing second in the G3 NJC Spring Stakes at Newcastle last time. Ticking along well with a recent trial placing. Likely to push forward and race on the pace. Capable of testing this field. MATIAS (3) got off the mark over 7½f at Newcastle last start, scoring by a head. Sparingly raced and has more to offer. This is tougher but he is capable of another big run.
