GOSPEL GIRL (1) filled a minor placing when fresh from a lay-off two starts ago. Could not back that up last time when 3. 5 lengths away in eighth over 6f at this track. In a nice race and deserves another chance. CARRAVILLA (3) showed good early dash and stalked the pace last start before drawing clear to score by a head over 6¾f at Doomben. Likely to be in the finish again. BLUE SPINEL (10) settled well back from a wide draw last time then wound up strongly to finish fourth over 6f at this track. One to watch for in the concluding stages. LAYDOWNLILY (5) was in contention on the turn and finished third last start over 5½f at Ipswich, beaten 0. 6 lengths. Should be cherry-ripe. Placed to advantage and can run a bold race.
