    BEFORE THE WAR (3) finished fourth two runs back at Wangaratta then improved last time out to score by a nose over 6f at Yarra Valley. Must raise the bar but another win beckons. BOULDER JACK (10) didn't make an impact at his last run before going for a lay-off on December 6, finishing 12th and beaten 12 lengths over 6½f at Wangaratta. Sure to make his presence felt. GURU TWO (7) has not won for a long while. Last raced on February 8 when beaten 12 lengths into 11th at Wangaratta over 1m. Well placed and there is no reason he cannot return to winning ways. SILVER TOP RIDGE (8) produced a reasonable effort when fourth last start over 6f at Seymour. That followed a win at Wangaratta the start prior. Nicely placed to feature in the finish.
