XAVI (5) returns after a lay-off of three-and-a-half months. Started the last campaign in good style when in the placings over 6½f at Keeneland. One of the genuine hopes in the race. EXCELLENT EMPIRE (6) didn't make an impact at his last run before going for a lay-off on October 4, finishing seventh and beaten 15 lengths over 6f at this track (Dirt). Comes here with definite claims. HOBBS (3) was out of the money two runs back then again missed the frame last start over 6f at Turfway Park, beaten 5 lengths into fourth after being in contention on the corner. Finds a more suitable contest and can find winning form. SHAGGY EDGE (4) turned in a decent effort last start to finish third over 6f at Will Rogers Downs. Looks to be in the right race so expect another big run.
