SPACE RIDER (3) returned from a lay-off last start with a strong win by half a length over 6f in the G3 Manfred Stakes at Caulfield. Fitter for that last hitout and must be respected. EXPRESS CLASS (8) travelled in a rearwards position then made some inroads and finished 1. 75 lengths away in sixth last time out over 6f at Caulfield three weeks ago. Steps up in distance. Settles back early but winds up late. Watch for a big run. ROMANTIC ENCOUNTER (6) opened this campaign last start with a ninth, beaten 3 lengths, over 6f at Caulfield. Everything points to a big run.
