TARVUE (6) did little and finished 6 lengths from the winner in seventh over 1m1f at Sandown-Hillside last start after being in the firing line on the bend, a less impressive effort than her fifth at Flemington the run before. Ideally placed and is sure to be there at the finish. PRINCE OF BYRON (5) got well back over 1m2f at Ballarat last time and never threatened, eventually finishing 8 lengths away in 12th. Nicely placed to feature in the finish. THE CUNNING FOX (1) has been out of the placings in two runs since a break, the latest when eighth, beaten 4.5 lengths, over 1m4f at Sandown-Hillside. Cherry-ripe now and shapes as a leading player. SPARKLE LINK (8) finished fourth two runs back then did well last start but found one better over 1m2 1/4f at Cranbourne, beaten only half a length. Placed to advantage so anticipating another big run.
