CONN SMYTHE (3) showed good early dash last start and held on well to finish 1. 75 lengths back in third over 6½f at Woodbine. This doesn't look as hard so he is perfectly placed to score. SEAWISE (1) has been racing in great heart with two top-three finishes on end, the latest a second over 1m at this track (Turf) when he was always up in the leading division. Nicely placed to give this a mighty shake. LOMAX (2) returned from a lay-off three weeks ago when he was beaten 13 lengths into fifth over 6f at this track. Finds an easier assignment and can get the job done. COMMENDATORE (7) was beaten 4 lengths into sixth in a 5f contest at this track at his latest appearance. Well placed to bounce back.
