VEGA MAGNIFICO (2) was out of the money two runs back then again missed the frame last start over 1m2f at Caulfield, beaten 3 lengths into fifth after being in contention on the corner. Tackling a more suitable race this time so he is a major player. NAVY KING (8) did little and finished 10 lengths from the winner in seventh over 1m4 3/4f at Flemington last start after being prominent at the corner, a less impressive effort than his fourth at Moonee Valley the run before. Stepping up a level this time but on his best form he is one of the chief contenders. CHASING APHRODITE (3) pushed forward last time and boxed on to finish half a length away in second over 1m2 1/2f at Benalla. Perfectly placed and is sure to take a ton of beating. RAGING BULL (7) has a moderate winning strike-rate but performed well last time at Benalla, finishing fourth and only 1. 5 lengths from the winner at the end of 1m2 1/2f. Looks well placed so expect a bold display.
