Heading in the right direction and looks the one to beat. TOMMY THUG (4) is a 15-start maiden who resumed from a lay-off last start and was beaten 2. 5 lengths when fourth over 7½f at this track. Can come on from that run and looks a serious contender. THE BIG BLUE (3) is ready to win after another minor placing last start, finishing second over 1m1 1/2f at Canterbury when he was prominent throughout. Faces an easier assignment so he is sure to be right there at the finish. WELCOME RED SUN (8) was in the money two starts back at Kembla Grange but was unable to repeat the effort last time when eighth, beaten 10 lengths, at Kembla Grange over 1m. Looks well placed so expect a better run this time.
