Likely improver who should be in the finish this time. CHRISTMAS PRESENT (1) lines up for the first time since October 13. Started the last campaign in good style when in the placings over 1m1/4f at this track. Hasn't scored when fresh from a break but generally races well with three minor placings. Now under the care of new trainer Earl W Hughes. Has ability and should be right in the finish. CHAMPAGNE MIKE (3) finished out of the money two starts back then was beaten 5.5 lengths when fifth over 5f at this track two weeks ago. Has a solid record at this course and distance, including a win and two minor placings. Nicely placed to take this out. DRAGON DREW (4) missed the placings two runs back then didn't do any better last start when 15 lengths away in seventh over 5f at this track. Capable of featuring prominently.
