EVEN THE WIND (5) started at 3/1 last time but could only manage fourth, beaten 2. 75 lengths, at this track over 7½f. Hasn't broken through over this course and distance but has managed six minor placings. Leading contender. SONIC SPEED (7) is racing well and is close to a win, the latest effort a solid second at Canterbury Park (Turf) over 1m after being in the firing line all the way. Awkwardly drawn and might need a little luck early. Has the talent to figure prominently. CAUGHT OFF GUARD (8) did little and finished 6 lengths from the winner in seventh over 1m at Canterbury Park last start, a less impressive effort than his fourth at Canterbury Park the run before. Beautifully placed and is sure to play a major role. HARD TO FATHOM (4) progressed nicely last start to finish a close third over 7½f at this track after missing the placings at the previous appearance. This looks a good race for him and he is one of the key runners.
