GONDRINKIN (2) hit the frame with a 1.4 lengths second on turf at Kalgoorlie two starts back. Disappointed last time though, again on the turf, at Kalgoorlie over 1m3/4f when 4 lengths from the winner in fourth. Terrific chance to return to form back on the dirt. WESTCOAST EXPRESS (8) tackled a dirt track for the first time last start and was unplaced at his initial outing for the Aaron Pateman stable over 7f at Carnarvon. Among the leading chances. CHOICE BID (1) was prominent in the run and gave a big sight when third over 7f at Carnarvon just six days ago. Has a wide gate to overcome but is a real danger. LE TROY (4) ran below expectations last time at Carnarvon, finishing tenth and beaten 11 lengths. Finds a nice race and can make amends.
