ROTTERDAM (5) hasn't been far away lately, last time finishing fourth over 1m at Gulfstream Park (Turf), and gets some weight relief. Rates highly and looks hard to beat. BRITISH ISLES (3) is usually thereabouts but finds it hard to win, with only one victory from 15 starts. Was again denied last start when he found one better over 1m1f at Santa Anita. Must raise the bar but he has the talent to test this line-up. PRESIDER (11) has put together back-to-back placings after scoring three back at Santa Anita (Turf), most recently beaten 0.8 lengths into second over 1m1f at Santa Anita (Turf) when he was always up in the leading division. Facing a tougher assignment but he is good enough to figure in the finish. SICILIAN DEFENSE (13) improved last start to finish second over 1m at Fairgrounds. Finds a nice race and can keep improving.
