QUALITY SPIRITS (4) finished 11th two runs back then improved last start but found one better over 1m at Fairgrounds Turf, beaten a nose after being in the firing line on the corner. Meets some better types this time but a win is not out of the question. BACKSIDE (3) made progress last time out, finishing 9 lengths from the winner in second at the end of 1m1/2f at this track after being in the firing line on the bend. Well placed and there is no reason he cannot find winning ways. PUNKIN BOY (2) is back after a break of ten months. Went close to a maiden win before the layoff, finishing third at his latest appearance over 1m at Woodbine Inner. Good effort to kick-off last prep when in the money at Woodbine All Weather over 6f. Among the chances while fresh. HIGHLIGHTER (1) is a three-start maiden who returned last time and finished fourth at Turfway Park (Synthetic) over 1m1/2f, beaten 5 lengths. Bold showing expected with added fitness this time.
