ETCHED IN TIME (1) is going well this time in work, including a last start win over 1m at Newcastle to bring up two wins from four runs in the campaign. Can measure up again. KIRKUK (9) settled well back then made a little ground and finished 3 lengths away in fourth last time out over 6½f at this track two-and-a-half weeks ago as 5/2 favourite. Tackles a longer journey this time. Deon Le Roux stays on and although yet to win has been in the money on two occasions. Should be in the finish. YABBY PUMP (7) did little and finished 4 lengths from the winner in eighth over 1m1 1/4f at Newcastle last start, a less impressive effort than his fifth at Gosford the run before. Nicely placed to feature in the finish. BRAZIL (8) did his best work late and finished third last time over 1m at Goulburn, beaten 1. 3 lengths. Will trim down following recent racing. Placed to advantage and can feature in the finish.
