WHITSON (9) scored in a at Terang but was below his best last time when eighth over 6f at Kilmore. This is a nice drop in grade so he is a major player. MELIDESH (3) built on a nice third two starts back at Geelong with success as favourite over 6f at Ballarat Synthetic two weeks ago, getting home by half a length. Enjoys a drop in grade so he is all set to build on that latest effort. SNAPPY TYCOON (1) did little and finished 3.5 lengths from the winner in seventh over 5½f at Kyneton last start after being in the firing line on the turn, a less impressive effort than his sixth at Bendigo the run before. Has the ability to figure prominently. WRITTEN ROYALTY (7) finished sixth two runs back then improved last start but found one better over 6f at Sale, beaten a long neck. Best efforts measure up so capable of another big run.
