PARERA (3) turned in a strong performance when resuming when in the money at Pakenham Synthetic but disappointed last time when seventh, beaten 5. 5 lengths, at Mornington over 7½f. Well placed and there is no reason he cannot find winning ways. VEOMAS (9) is back from a lay-off of five months. Closed last prep with a seventh, beaten 3 lengths, over 6f at Pakenham. One of the better chances. CATATOMIC (5) is a five-start maiden who returned last time and finished seventh at Geelong over 6f43yards, beaten 6 lengths. Bold showing expected with added fitness this time.
