    MASKED MARAUDER (3) was safely held when sixth last start over 5½f at Bendigo, beaten 5 lengths. That followed a good when resuming win at Warrnambool. Best figures measure up. Sure to run well. SHAALUTE (1) showed good early dash and raced on the speed last start before fading to finish 4 lengths back in sixth over 7½f at Sandown-Hillside. Rates highly and expected to go well. AYSGARTH (2) is yet to fill a placing in two runs since resuming from a lay-off, the latest when fourth over 5½f at Kilmore. Has further improvement to come and is ready to show what he can do. HEADSTOCK (7) was in the firing line on the turn and finished third last start at the first run back from a lay-off over 6f at Mornington, beaten one length. Placed to advantage so expect a big run.
