HOLLY'S STAR (9) hit the frame two starts ago at Cranbourne but ran below par last time when seventh and beaten 9 lengths over 1m4 1/2f at Pakenham. The engagement of Billy Egan is a positive move. Won't find this as tough so she is one of the main contenders. AVONVIEW (11) doesn't boast the best winning strike rate but ran a strong race last time out, finishing fourth and beaten only 1. 2 lengths over 1m1 3/4f at Yarra Valley. Suitably placed so anticipating another bold showing.
