    VILLE DE LUMIERE (10) closed off strongly last start to get up for second, beaten a nose, over 6f at Terang. Will drift back but wind up late. Will be tough to hold out. BURLEIGH (3) was out of the money two runs back then again missed the frame last start over 5½f at Ararat, beaten 1. 75 lengths into fifth. Declan Bates gets the best out of this three-year-old gelding. Beautifully placed and is sure to play a major role. THUNDER HAWK (1) settled well back and never threatened when beaten 4 lengths into seventh last time out over 6½f at Cranbourne. Among the leading chances on her best form. A BEACH IN JUNE (8) is fresh from a lay-off of ten months and did hit the frame when last resuming at Geelong over 6¼f. In a different yard now. Will be forward for this after a recent trial win at Bendigo.
