CHASING RAINBOWS (2) started at big odds on debut last start but ran a bold race, finishing second and beaten 2 lengths over 6f at Pakenham. Leading player with plenty of improvement in store. ARADEO (1) found the line nicely to grab second last time out over 6f at Ararat. Another bold showing is expected. ZEPHYR SONG (7) wasn't far off maiden success before a 11 weeks break, finishing the prep with a minor placing at Seymour. Placed in a recent trial. Rates highly and is one of the main hopes. MISTRESS MELISSA (4) is a four-start maiden who finished seventh, beaten 4. 5 lengths, when resuming from a lay-off last start over 5½f at this track. Definite top-three hope with plenty of improvement to come.
