MORDECAI (1) started favourite last time over 1m at Townsville but could only manage fifth after he was well back on straightening. The extra journey should play into his hands. Likely to feature in the finish. AIN'T NOBODY (3) was out of the money two runs back then again missed the frame last start over 1m at Rockhampton, beaten 5.5 lengths into fifth. Finds a nice race and can feature in the finish. REPLACE THE ACE (2) started at 7/1 last time and ran below expectations, finishing seventh and beaten 4 lengths at Rockhampton over 7f. Likely improver with strong prospects. BRAND NEW (6) doesn't win out of turn but ran a nice race last time out over 1m at Townsville, finishing fourth and beaten 2 lengths. Sure to be thereabouts.
