TORQUE OF DREAMS (7) has recorded four minor placings from five starts this campaign, the latest when second as a well-fancied conveyance over 7f at Townsville. Not far off a win and looks the testing material. DETERMINATION (1) resumes. Didn't make an impact at his only run last prep on 30/10/2024, finishing fifth and beaten 5.5 lengths over 6f at Doomben. Under the care of new trainer Ricky Vale this prep. Rates highly and makes plenty of appeal while fresh. MISS COMANECI (8) finished fourth two runs back then improved last start when she worked home well but found a couple better over 7f at Townsville, beaten 2.25 lengths. Looks well placed so expect another big run. FIRE SPHERE (6) has put together back-to-back placings, the latest when 1.4 lengths away in third over 6½f at this track. Well placed and will be thereabouts again.
