Well placed here and gets his chance to bounce back. EARLY FUSION (2) has two placings from three runs this campaign, most recently finishing second as favourite over 5½f at Rockhampton after being in contention on the bend. Good chance to break through. FLYING SHAMUS (5) returns from a layoff of 12 weeks. Worth noting she filled a minor placing when returning from a lay-off last time in work over 6f at this track. Definite top-three chance. PIPISTRELLE (3) was last at the races when she finished fourth over 7¾f at this track on September 4. Boasts dominant form here with three wins from four starts. Looks one of the genuine hopes in the race.
