CURIOUS CORN (11) wasted no time getting off the mark on debut over 6f at Thistledown (Dirt) five-and-a-half weeks ago. Sure to be further improved and can make it back-to-back wins. STRIKE PLATE (6) missed the frame last time when sixth at Thistledown. Prior to that had been in the money on three consecutive occasions. Has the pace to be in a prominent position from the outset. Will be in this for a long way. GRITS N GRAVY (1) was too good for a maiden field last start over 5½f at Thistledown (Dirt), scoring by a nose. Is lightly raced and has plenty of scope for improvement. Angel I Diaz was in the saddle on that occasion and retains the ride. Tougher task this time but expected to be competitive again.
