BRIARCLIFF (1) fought on well to finish third last start over 1m at this track (Dirt), beaten 1. 5 lengths when fresh from a lay-off. Taking on a better line-up this time but he deserves plenty of thought. LORD RIPLEY (2) closed last prep three months ago when he finished sixth over 1m1/2f at Turfway Park. Race sets up well for him. NOBLE COURT (7) last appeared three-and-a-half weeks ago over 1m at Turfway Park when he finished fourth. This is his first run for the Paul G Overholt stable. Has ability and makes plenty of appeal. HOT WINGS (5) could only manage to finish fourth, beaten 12 lengths, at his latest appearance over 5½f at this track (Dirt) after he was well back on straightening. Finds the right race and is worth consideration.
