ALPINE ROCKET (1) is yet to fill a placing in two runs since resuming from a lay-off, the latest when sixth over 1m1/2f at Geelong. Will strip fitter and is the one they have to beat. FLASHLIGHT (2) doesn't win out of turn, scoring just once from 10 starts. Was again denied last start when he found a couple better over 1m3f at Pakenham Synthetic. Finds an easier assignment and can get the job done. SAXON BEAUTY (4) finished fourth last start over 1m4f at Sandown-Hillside after racing on the pace for much of the way. One of the main contenders. FINNHUGH (6) didn't do a bad job when fifth last start over 1m4f at Swan Hill. That followed a win at Murtoa the start prior. Worth another chance.
