MACEDON ROSE (5) started at 2/1 last time and ran below expectations, finishing ninth and beaten 14 lengths at Pakenham over 1m. Hard to beat in this suitable race. WELCOMETOTHESHOW (6) hasn't been far away lately, beaten 1. 1 lengths at his most recent outing when third over 7½f at Caulfield Heath. Meets easier opposition this time. Should measure up. BLAZING HARRY (1) has been out of the winner's list for a long time, last start finishing fifth at Pakenham over 7f. Beau Mertens gets the best out of this five-year-old gelding. Suitably placed so anticipating a better run this time.
